Continental Philosophy
Continental philosophy is the broad tradition of European thought that runs from German Idealism through Phenomenology, Existentialism, Hermeneutics, Critical Theory, and beyond. Suspicious of the analytic ambition to reduce philosophy to logic and language, it insists on the importance of history, embodiment, power, and lived experience for understanding what it means to be human.
